VHS-C tapes are a third the size of a regular VHS tape and are placed in an adapter for playback. You do not need to provide the adapter to transfer your VHS-C videos. VHS-C tapes are similar to the larger VHS tape in quality and that they degrade quickly over time. Save the video and audio quality by converting them to DVD.
Our DVD-R discs will play on almost every newer DVD player on the market.
*If a tape runs over 2 hours, multiple DVD's will be used.
*There will be an additional charge of $ 9.99 per hour after the first 2 hours of video.
VHS-C tapes were introduced in 1982 as a portable version of the VHS tape. VHS-C tapes have similar audio and video quality as VHS and can hold from 30 minutes to 90 minutes of video.
The different VHS-C record modes makes it difficult to combine multiple tapes onto one 2 hour DVD. If you are certain of the length of your video(s) we will combine tapes at an additional charge of $4.99 per tape. Please rubber band together the tapes you need combined and affix a note to each tape with the length in hours/minutes.
A basic video transfer to DVD will be in a format best suited for playing on a traditional DVD player attached to a television. We do offer a service that can provide you with digital files that are simple to copy and paste to a computer for your home editing projects.
