VHS tapes were once the most popular video format to view home movies. Unfortunately, the quality of the video degrades every time the tape is played. Transfer of your VHS tapes to DVD is recommended to be sure your memories will be passed down through generations.
VHS tapes have three different tape record modes SP (Standard Play 2 hours), LP (Long Play 4 hours) and EP (Extended Play 6 hours). Due to these options it may not be possible to fit a VHS tape on one 2 hour DVD. Our DVD-R discs will play on almost every newer DVD player on the market.
*If your VHS tape runs over 2 hours, multiple DVD's will be used.
*There will be an additional charge of $ 9.99 per hour after the first 2 hours of video.
VHS tapes have three different tape record modes SP (Standard Play 2 hours), LP (Long Play 4 hours) and EP (Extended Play 6 hours). Due to these options it may not be possible to fit a VHS tape on one 2 hour DVD. The three possible VHS record modes also makes it difficult to combine multiple tapes onto one 2 hour DVD. If you are certain of the length of your video(s) we will combine tapes at an additional charge of $4.99 per tape. Please rubber band together the tapes you need combined and firmly affix a note to each tape indicating the length in hours/minutes.
A basic VHS video transfer to DVD will be in a format best suited for playing on a traditional DVD player attached to a television. We do offer a service that can provide you with digital files that are simple to copy and paste to a computer for your home editing projects.
